The Process

Here’s a step-by-step look at the interior design process at Studio Dee. Every project is unique – and so is the way we’ll work together.

Designing your home should be a pleasure—not a pressure. At Studio Dee, I guide each client through a thoughtful, structured process that removes the overwhelm and brings clarity and confidence to every step. Whether you’re commissioning a full home transformation or a single refined space, my approach is tailored, collaborative, and designed around you.

The service packages outlined above provide a clear framework and indicative pricing. However, I also regularly create bespoke proposals tailored to the scale, complexity, and specific needs of your project. Whether you need support with just one stage or the full journey, I offer a flexible, tailored approach to suit your specific needs – simply get in touch to start the conversation.

Outlined below is how the journey will typically unfold.

  • We begin with a complimentary 15-minute discovery call to understand your vision, establish your goals and budget, and explore how I can support your project.

  • Every design journey begins with an initial consultation.

    Before we meet, you’ll receive a short, thoughtful questionnaire designed to help me understand your space, lifestyle, and priorities in advance. You’ll also receive my onboarding pack with everything you need to know about working together, along with guidance on sharing photos, plans, and inspiration — allowing me to prepare thoroughly for our time together.

    The consultation itself is all about getting to know you and your project — your style, challenges, must-haves, and aspirations. During an in-person consultation, I’ll also take detailed photos and measurements of the space, ensuring I have a complete understanding before moving into the design phase.

    Following the consultation, you’ll receive a written summary and a clear, customised quotation, carefully tailored to your project and the level of support required.

  • Once I have a full understanding of your project, I’ll create initial concepts for your scheme, presented as a digital mood board filled with early ideas, textures, colours, and inspirational images. We’ll then meet again, either in person or over a video call, to review everything and make any tweaks needed.

    This important step ensures we’re completely aligned before I move forward with developing your full design.

  • Depending on your needs, your full design package may include some or all of the following:

    • Mood boards and physical samples

    • Full specifications for finishes, materials, and furniture

    • 2D scale floor plans with furniture placement

    • Elevation drawings

    • Detailed guides for your tradespeople

    • 3D visualisations

    • Electrical and lighting plans

  • Now it’s time to bring your design to life. I’ll take care of the details, double-checking measurements and quantities, placing orders, coordinating with suppliers, and arranging deliveries, so you don’t have to stress.

    You'll also benefit from my wide network of trade discounts, helping you get the most value from your investment.

  • For full design packages, I provide a final styling service where I bring all the details together—ensuring your space feels cohesive, functional and beautifully finished.

  • In addition to my standard packages, I offer:

    • 3D visualisations

    • Upholstery & bespoke soft furnishings
